- Read your AR book for 15-20 minutes each night! This will help you improve your reading level and reach your quarterly goals! Students are expected to make an attempt each week to reach their AR goals. Individual daily reading is a part of our reading curriculum and a portion of their reading grade each quarter.
- To keep up with your students' reading AR goals, see below:
- Reading/Vocabulary/Spelling Quiz EVERY Friday unless otherwise noted (See Student's planner, in their 3-Ring Binder for LISTS). Reading quizzes come from our current reading material AND/OR are cold reads for each week and align with our reading/language focus & standards, in addition to the vocabulary & reading strategies we are studying that week.
- Homework (includes quiz study material (spelling/prefix/vocabulary lists), is done online through Readworks Digital or NewsELA. Students log-in and read 1-2 articles that cover the reading strategies we are learning in class. This online work plus the review packets for the quizzes is given on MONDAY and due by FRIDAY every other week (unless otherwise noted).
